Psalms 34

Psalms 34 symbolizes comfort. This Psalm is showing that David is praising and thanking the Lord for taking him out of the situation he was in. In verse 1, "his praise shall continually be in my mouth" means we should give Him thanks after everything we do. In verse 8, "taste and see that God is good" David envourage us to try out God and see for ourselves that he is good. When David says "fear Him" he means to respect the Lord. He does not mean be scared of him. In verse 15, God watches watches those who are righteous and have open ears to their prayers. Psalms 34 have many themes. For instance, God will protect us as long as we praise him and thank him. We should praise him at all times throughout the day. Making God our high will bring us better days. In today's society, there are people who only praise And pray through bad times. In verse 20, he refers to Jesus being crucified and not one of his bones were broken. Psalm 34 is mainly about thanksgi...

Infant joy and Infant Sorrow

Infant joy is about a infant being born into a sinful world with pure joy. Joy is the name of the infant. It symbolizes the happiness and peacefulness in the infant life. Infant Sorrow is about a mother and father bringing a baby into in sinful world. The parents are fearing that the world will have a negative impact on the infant. Both of the peoms are written by William Blake. Both are about a infant being born into a sinful world and how the surroundings affect its life. Infant Sorrow come before Infant Joy .Both of these poems put together can actually create a good short story. Both of the poems are really great poems.

Reader profile

My reading strengths are visualizing the picture. My reading weakness is comprehending, listening to someone read, popcorn reading, reading at a fast paste, and big words in an article. Reading serves a good purpose for me because it will be important throughout life. The material and books I read can be connected with life. I have a passion for hair and good grades. My peeves are messy areas and people touching my hair. This school year i would like to become a better reader and be able to comprehend better. I would also like to build my vocabulary and become a better writer.

Reflection a worn path

The story A Worn Path is a very interesting story. Although, she have many problems, she does not gives up. She goes through a lot of obstacles, but still does not give up. She is a old woman who likes to walk long journeys. She is a strong woman and will not give up on anything so quickly. She was also attacked by a dog in the story. Even though she was attacked she continued the journey.  This story teaches me that I will go through many things in life but I should never give up.

Reflections

The Rockpile is an very good  story about how one problem turn the family upside down. The mother Elizabeth did not want her children playing on a rockpile outside of their house but she did not have a good reason why. The audience may have guessed that she did not want her kids to play outside on the rock pile because she did not want them to pick up the bad habits of the other children. One of her son obeyed her by not going and the other disobeyed. I did not like how Gabriel ,the dad, treated his step son. He treated him badly because he was not his biological child. This also caused a turning point in the story. Gabriel showed favoritism towards Roy. He blamed everyone else for the incident that happened. This was very unfair. Gabriel should've came in to listen to the whole entire story before just blaming john. The family should talk things out more and treat everyone the same.

Lesson before dying reflection

In the last chapters in A lesson before dying it is very depressing and full of sorrow. Grant and Jefferson became friends and formed an alliance. Grant tried his best to help Jefferson and had I fight with two men over Jefferson. The whole town was depending on Jefferson and the readers were too. As we read  the story we did not know if Jefferson was innocent or not but he still pushed through to go as a man and not a hog. At the end of the story the town came together as one and was very sad .The readers were even sad that he had passed. The death even made Grant a better person. As it became closer to his date I felt very emotional almost even cried. I could tell that Jefferson was not ungrateful for Grant to come visit and try to help him out . This was a very good book even though it was emotional.
