Lesson before dying reflection

In the last chapters in A lesson before dying it is very depressing and full of sorrow. Grant and Jefferson became friends and formed an alliance. Grant tried his best to help Jefferson and had I fight with two men over Jefferson. The whole town was depending on Jefferson and the readers were too. As we read  the story we did not know if Jefferson was innocent or not but he still pushed through to go as a man and not a hog.

At the end of the story the town came together as one and was very sad .The readers were even sad that he had passed. The death even made Grant a better person. As it became closer to his date I felt very emotional almost even cried. I could tell that Jefferson was not ungrateful for Grant to come visit and try to help him out . This was a very good book even though it was emotional.
