Blog Post Assignment 2

As I began my AP classes on the first day , I thought it would be very easy because I have taken honor classes before. I also thought I was prepared enough but I was not. My mom and I made three trips to Wal-Mart for more supplies. I literally have homework everyday even on the weekends now. I kinda struggle with this because I have a job. I do not go out much because of my homework and job. Math is my favorite subject but it is more challenging this year. Chemistry is my second favorite and it is very hard for me to keep up this year. English is my least favorite but I still try to manage it. I like that my English teacher is now teaching me how to become a better writer than what I was. I love school but sometimes it is difficult.

Reflection: So far all of the characters are growing and gaining much knowledge. The readers now know that Nettie isn't dead after all. Mr was hiding her letters that she sent to Celie. A good reason for him to do this is because Nettie turned him down. This novel teaches many life lessons and I am excited that we chose this book. Daily post: Today I got to go over ACT material with my math teacher. Also, I been studying for 2 hours trying to prepare myself for the test. I have to get up at 7 a.m. tomorrow.  I would be devastated if I don't make a good grade. Fingers crossed and wish me luck.

Reflection of Black Boy

Black Boy is an awesome novel. The biggest lesson in the novel is racism from each race. It shows how African Americans were treated years ago. Humanity was hypocritical and still is today. This novel is a life lesson to many races especially African Americans. Also, education is every important in novel because with education one can become anything. Furthermore, when you stand for what you believe things will go much smoother. Naturalism also occurs in this novel as well. Richard is taught by people around him and it's not who he wants to be.

Reflection: Celie is now very upset that Mister hid the letters. She changes her writing from "Dear God " to "Dear Nettie". Shug is on celie side and believes that she should leave Mister for all the wrong he has done. Celie finds courage to confronts Mister and she now wants to kill him. Daily post: Today was a relaxing day for me. My mom went out of town so I had to cook dinner. Also, I got to talk with my older sister for a hour. She's always busy with college and work. Also, my siblings and I made a cake. It was so delicious omg.
