Reflections

The Rockpile is an very good  story about how one problem turn the family upside down. The mother Elizabeth did not want her children playing on a rockpile outside of their house but she did not have a good reason why. The audience may have guessed that she did not want her kids to play outside on the rock pile because she did not want them to pick up the bad habits of the other children. One of her son obeyed her by not going and the other disobeyed. I did not like how Gabriel ,the dad, treated his step son. He treated him badly because he was not his biological child. This also caused a turning point in the story.
Gabriel showed favoritism towards Roy. He blamed everyone else for the incident that happened. This was very unfair. Gabriel should've came in to listen to the whole entire story before just blaming john. The family should talk things out more and treat everyone the same.
